Aussie Social Tours

1. Overview

Aussie Social Tours provides guided walking and social experience tours in New South Wales, Australia. By booking or participating in a tour, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility (18+ Only)

All participants must be 18 years or older.

This requirement exists due to:

  • Licensed venues (RSL and Bowling Club)

  • Alcohol service

  • Safety and insurance considerations

Valid photo ID may be requested at any point during the tour. Anyone unable to provide ID may be refused participation without refund.

3. Fitness & Participation

Tours involve approximately 13km of walking, including a short but steep climb (approx. 250m elevation).

By booking, you confirm that:

  • You are in reasonable physical condition

  • You understand the nature of the activity

  • You participate at your own risk

This is a social walk, not a race — but it does involve physical effort.

4. Health & Safety

Participants are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing.

Aussie Social Tours is not liable for:

  • Injury, illness, or loss

  • Weather-related impacts

  • Accidents occurring during optional activities (including swimming)

Please advise the guide of any medical conditions that may affect your participation.

5. Tour Changes

Tours operate in most weather conditions.

If conditions become unsafe, Aussie Social Tours may:

  • Cancel the tour

  • Modify the route or schedule

If we cancel a tour, you will receive:

  • A free reschedule or

  • A credit (no cash refunds unless required by law)

6. Weather, Heat & Safety Policy

Aussie Social Tours operates in most weather conditions. However, guest safety always comes first.

Heat Policy
If the “feels like” temperature is forecast to reach 35°C or higher during the tour window (as reported by the Bureau of Meteorology), the tour may be cancelled, rescheduled, or modified for safety reasons.

While coastal winds can make conditions feel cooler, prolonged walking, sun exposure and physical activity increase the risk of heat stress. We use the “feels like” temperature to assess real-world conditions on the day.

Lightning & Severe Weather
Tours will not operate during electrical storms, severe weather warnings, or unsafe conditions, including lightning activity in the region.

If We Cancel
If Aussie Social Tours cancels a tour due to weather or safety concerns, guests will be offered:

  • A free reschedule, or

  • A full credit for a future tour

No guest will be penalised for cancellations made by us in the interest of safety.

Final decisions are made on the day with guest wellbeing as the priority.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

  • More than 48 hours before tour: free reschedule or credit

  • Less than 48 hours: no refund or credit

  • No-shows or late arrivals: no refund

Tours depart on time. Late arrivals may not be able to join once the tour has started.

8. Conduct

We aim to create a friendly, respectful environment.

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is:

  • Unsafe

  • Aggressive

  • Excessively intoxicated

  • Disruptive to others

Removal will be without refund.

9. Alcohol

Alcohol may be consumed only at licensed venues and in accordance with venue rules and Australian law.

Excessive intoxication may result in removal from the tour.

10. Photography & Media

Photos and video may be taken during tours for promotional use.

If you prefer not to appear in photos, please advise the guide at the start of the day.

11. Liability Waiver

By participating, you acknowledge that outdoor activities carry inherent risks and agree that Aussie Social Tours is not liable for loss, injury, or damage except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

12. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the current version.
