The full walk is approximately 13km, from Stanwell Park to Coledale RSL. It’s a relaxed pace with regular stops for views, swims, photos and social time.

This is a Grade 3 walk, suitable for people with a reasonable level of fitness.
The most challenging section is a 15-minute continuous climb to Bald Hill Lookout (around 250m elevation). After that, the walk is mostly on paved paths at a comfortable pace.
This isn’t a race — it’s a social stroll.
Heroes are better off finding another tour. -
Yes — strictly 18+ only.
The tour includes licensed venues (Wombarra Bowlo and Coledale RSL) and alcohol service. All participants must be 18 or over and may be required to show valid ID.

Tours run in most conditions. If the feels like temperature reaches 35°C+, or if lightning or severe weather is forecast, we may cancel or reschedule for safety. Guests will be able to reschedule or receive a credit for future tour.

Getting Here & Transport Options
By Train (Recommended)
The easiest way to join the tour is by train.
Catch the South Coast Line from Sydney Central
Get off at Stanwell Park Station
Trains run regularly on Sundays
Travel time: approx. 90 minutes
Stanwell Park Station is the official meeting point for the tour and is a short walk from where we begin.
Tip: Many guests enjoy the train ride as part of the day — relaxed, scenic and no parking stress.
By Car
If you prefer to drive:
Stanwell Park is approximately 90 minutes south of Sydney
Free and street parking is available near Stanwell Park Station
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to allow time to park and settle in
Important:
The tour finishes in Coledale, not back at Stanwell Park.If driving, you’ll need to:
Catch a short train back to Stanwell Park from Coledale Station (one stop), or
Arrange a pickup at the end of the day
End of Day – Getting Home
The tour finishes at Coledale RSL around 6:00pm.
From Coledale:
Coledale Train Station is a short walk away
Regular trains run north to Sydney and south toward Wollongong
Taxis and rideshare are also available
Many guests choose to:
Head straight home by train
Or stay longer for dinner, drinks and live music at the RSL before travelling later

The tour starts at 9:00am sharp at Stanwell Park Train Station and finishes at approximately 6:00pm at Coledale RSL, with live music, food and The Ode.
Late arrivals cannot join once the tour departs.

We recommend bringing:
Comfortable walking shoes
At least 1 litre of water
Sunscreen and a hat
Swimmers and towel (optional)
A light jacket
You don’t need to overthink it — we’ll handle the rest.

Yes — swimming in ocean pools is optional and weather-dependent.
If you choose to swim, you do so at your own discretion and risk -
Tours run in most weather conditions.
If weather becomes unsafe, the tour may be cancelled or modified. In this case, you’ll be offered a free reschedule or credit. Safety always comes first.

For now, public tours run on Sundays only.
Private group bookings may be available on other days — just get in touch and we’ll try to make it work.

Group size is capped at 16 guests, which keeps the experience social, relaxed and personal. It’s also the ideal number for a great game of barefoot bowls !

Yes. Tours often fill up and numbers are limited.
Booking in advance is strongly recommended. -
Food is not included in the ticket price, but there is excellent food available at Wombarra Bowlo and Coledale RSL Bistro at the end of the tour.
One complimentary Rooster beer is included.

The Ode is a traditional moment of reflection observed at RSLs, honouring those who served and sacrificed. It’s a simple, respectful way to close the day and is entirely optional for guests.
